Enys Gardens Lantern Trail 2026: Dates and What to Expect

2026-10-11·Falmouth

Short answer: The Enys Lantern Trail runs on selected evenings from early December 2026 into the first days of January 2027, at Enys Gardens between Penryn and Mylor. The trail is about 800 metres and dogs on short leads are welcome. Tickets have been on general sale since 1 October. There's also a separate Father Christmas storytelling experience.

Enys is the light trail for people who don't want a big production: a short, lantern-lit loop through one of Cornwall's oldest gardens, near Penryn. It's an easy one for toddlers, grandparents and anyone in west Cornwall who doesn't fancy the drive to Heligan or Eden.

When is the Enys Lantern Trail 2026?

Selected evenings from about 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Tickets are timed and went on general sale on 1 October; check the Enys site for the exact nights and slots.

How long is it?

About 800 metres, so allow 45 minutes to an hour at toddler pace. It's a garden path in winter, so wear boots.

Can you take dogs?

Yes, on short leads, on the trail itself. Dogs aren't allowed in the Father Christmas experience.

Father Christmas at Enys

A 45-minute storytelling session with Father Christmas, with combined tickets for the session and the trail. It's quieter than a big-attraction grotto, which suits shy children.

How much are tickets?

Prices weren't showing on the booking page when we checked; expect a small booking fee (£2) on top. We'll add them when we can see them.

Getting there

Enys Gardens is signposted from the A39 between Penryn and Mylor. It's 15 minutes from Falmouth; see our Falmouth guide if you're making an evening of it in town.

Enys also hosts the Witch Festival Cornwall on 24 October. Compare every trail: Christmas light trails in Cornwall 2026.

Dates, prices and times are the organisers' to change — check the official page before you travel or book. Spotted something we've got wrong? Tell us and we'll fix it.
