Christmas Light Trails in Cornwall 2026: Dates and Prices

2026-10-11·St Austell

Short answer: Three big light trails run in Cornwall this winter: Heligan's Night Garden (from 13 November, adults £23.60, children £14.20), Christmas at Eden's evening lights (from 20 November, £12.50 per adult, under-16s free) and the Enys Gardens Lantern Trail near Penryn (selected nights from early December). Trebah's Garden of Light is not running in 2026.

A light trail is the best Cornish winter evening there is: an hour or so outside in the dark, lights through the trees, hot chocolate at the end. Here's every one running in 2026, what each costs, and which suits whom.

Heligan Night Garden 2026

The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey, lit up along a trail of about a mile. Selected nights from 13 November to 2 January, entry from 4:15pm.

Christmas at Eden: the evening lights

The biomes after dark, 4pm to 8:30pm on selected evenings from 20 November to 2 January, with a new installation called Helios.

Enys Gardens Lantern Trail

The smallest and gentlest of the three: about 800 metres through Enys Gardens near Penryn, on selected evenings from early December into the first days of January. General sale opened on 1 October. Dogs on short leads.

Is Trebah's Garden of Light on in 2026?

No. Trebah isn't running its Garden of Light this year. Instead there's a daytime joke trail (21 November to 6 December) and Storytelling with Santa on December weekends: see Trebah at Christmas 2026.

Which light trail should we pick?

Free Christmas lights instead

Village lights cost nothing: Angarrack near Hayle, Mousehole's harbour, and the lights driving route that strings them together in one evening.
