Short answer: Falmouth is kinder than most Cornish towns for wheels: the Gyllyngvase seafront and the harbourside Events Square quarter are both level, with the view built in.

Why Falmouth works

Most Cornish views come with a cliff path attached. Falmouth's two best waterfronts — Gyllyngvase beach and the harbour — are both reachable on level ground with parking nearby, which is why this town earns a place on any accessible itinerary.

The Gylly seafront

• Gylly Beach Café — on the beach at Gyllyngvase, approached from the seafront road and car park behind it. The terrace puts the bay directly in front of you.
• Beach House — the other end of the same sand, same principle: seafront-level arrival, sea-level view.
• The seafront road itself has a level pavement run with benches — the free version of the same view between coffees.

The harbourside quarter

• Events Square and Discovery Quay — modern, purpose-built and flat, with café and restaurant terraces facing the water and the Maritime Museum (itself fully accessible, with lifts to the tower view) next door. The most reliably step-free eating-with-a-view in town.
• The harbourside pubs along the main street vary — historic buildings mean the odd step at the door, so treat these as the check-first tier.

Parking that makes it work

For Gylly: the seafront car parks on Cliff Road/Gyllyngvase put you metres from both cafés. For the harbour quarter: the Maritime car park lands you on Discovery Quay's level ground. Blue badge bays exist at both ends; midsummer, arrive early for them.
