Short answer: Trebarwith Strand is the practical one: lifeguarded, with a pub and café, just over a mile from Tintagel. Bossiney Cove is wild and beautiful, with a steep walk down and no facilities. Tintagel Haven, below the castle, has Merlin's Cave at low tide.
Tintagel's coast is dramatic rather than easy: high cliffs, coves at the bottom of steep paths, and beaches that disappear at high tide. Three are worth knowing.
The beach beneath Tintagel Castle, home to Merlin's Cave and a small waterfall — stunning, though tide times matter for cave access.
