2026-10-28·Mousehole

Short answer: The Ship Inn on the harbour is the village pub, a St Austell Brewery pub at the centre of Tom Bawcock's Eve on 23 December. The Old Coastguard has a sea-view garden, the Kings Arms in Paul is a short uphill walk, the Lamorna Wink suits the coast walk, and the Tolcarne Inn in Newlyn is the Michelin-listed seafood pub.

The Ship Inn and the Old Coastguard are in the village itself; the others are a walk or a short drive away. Read this alongside our Mousehole restaurants and pubs guide, which covers the non-pub places.

Which pub is on the harbour?

The Ship Inn (4.4 from 1,009 Google reviews) is a St Austell Brewery pub on the harbour serving pub classics, fish and chips and Sunday roasts. Dogs are welcome in the bar. It's the centre of Tom Bawcock's Eve (23 December), when stargazy pie is served; see our Tom Bawcock's Eve guide.

Where is the sea-view garden?

The Old Coastguard (4.4 from 967 Google reviews) is an inn and restaurant on The Parade with a sea-view garden and a children's menu. It isn't marked as dog-friendly. Which pub is up the hill?

The Kings Arms in Paul (4.4 from 671 Google reviews) is a village pub with rooms, a short uphill walk from Mousehole, serving St Austell ales. Guides say well-behaved dogs and children are welcome, and reviewers praise the Sunday lunch.

Where do you stop on the coast walk?

Lamorna Wink (4.2 from 233 Google reviews) is a traditional pub in the Lamorna valley, a useful stop on the coast walk from Mousehole (see our Mousehole to Lamorna walk). Hours are seasonal: Google showed Friday to Sunday only when we checked, and reviewers advise phoning ahead. Dogs aren't mentioned as welcome in our listing, so ask first.

Is there a special-occasion option?
