2026 date confirmed: the Bodmin Lions have named Thursday 5 November at Priory Park — Bonfire Night itself — with gates at 5pm, the bonfire lit at 7pm and the fireworks after. Truro's display is cancelled for the second year, so this is now the big one for most of mid-Cornwall; buy tickets in advance and arrive early.
Bodmin's Bonfire Night is the proper community version: a big bonfire, a full fireworks display with lasers, and a funfair alongside — the kind of night the whole town turns out for. It's ticketed, but at community prices: a few pounds in advance or at the gate.
2026 dates: not yet announced — organisers confirm in October, usually for the Saturday nearest 5 November. We update this line the moment it's confirmed, and as with every display, check the organiser's page on the day: wind cancels fireworks at short notice.
Park where the organisers direct on the night — it's a one-gate field operation and freelance parking helps nobody. Leaving, accept the queue: everyone exits at once, so the smart move is a slow walk back via the fair rather than sprinting to sit in traffic.
