Coasteering in Newquay: Prices, Ages and Where

2026-10-11·Newquay

Short answer: Coasteering in Newquay costs £55 to £60. Newquay Activity Centre runs it all year from £60 (the Adventure Gully session). Quiksilver charges £55, and Harlyn Surf School, 20 minutes away near Padstow, also charges £55.

Coasteering is scrambling, swimming and jumping your way along the bottom of the cliffs, in a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid, with a guide. Newquay's coast of gullies and headlands is one of the best places in Britain to try it.

How much is coasteering in Newquay?

Do you need to be a strong swimmer?

You need to be comfortable in the sea. The buoyancy aid does most of the work, and the guide picks the route for the group and the conditions. Every jump is optional.

What should you bring?

Swimwear to go under the wetsuit, an old pair of trainers you don't mind soaking (check whether the provider supplies footwear), a towel and a warm layer for afterwards.

Can you go coasteering in winter?

Newquay Activity Centre runs all year. Winter sessions depend on the sea, so expect some to move or cancel.
