Short answer: Cornwall's Winter Wonderland at Pool Market, Redruth, is listed from 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. It has an undercover real ice rink with one-hour sessions and skate hire, funfair rides, food and drink stalls and a German bar. Ticket prices are not listed, and advance booking is recommended. Confirm opening dates before you go.
Cornwall's Winter Wonderland returns to Pool Market, between Camborne and Redruth, in the 2026/27 festive season. One listing gives 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with an undercover ice rink, a funfair, food stalls and a German-style bar. Here is what is confirmed, what isn't, and how it compares with the other rinks in Cornwall.
A ticketing listing gives 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. A separate Christmas guide says the dates are usually mid-November to early January and were still to be confirmed. Last year, the event listing showed a Friday 21 November 2025 opening evening from 4pm to 7pm. If the pattern holds, the first weekend of the season would be 20 to 22 November, but check before you go.
At Pool Market, Station Road, Pool, Redruth TR15 3QJ, next to Heartlands. It is close to the A30, so it is easy to reach from Truro, Falmouth and Hayle. A listing mentions nearby parking and public toilets, but not how many spaces there are. Our Redruth parking guide is about the town centre, not Pool, so check the event page for on-site parking.
The 2025 listing also described a Christmas market with gifts and crafts, live entertainment and Santa's Grotto. Whether those return in 2026 is not confirmed, so check the current event page. Advance booking is recommended, because rink sessions are limited to one-hour slots and sell out at weekends and in the school holidays.
The listing does not show ticket prices, and mentions a price-match guarantee that we could not verify. Rink prices vary between sites, so see our ice skating in Cornwall guide for how the other rinks compare, including Eden's.
These are general tips, not rules from the organiser.
Redruth switches on its own lights on Saturday 5 December, covered in Redruth in Lights. The Buttermarket food stalls are a good place for lunch beforehand, and Redruth rainy day things to do fills a wet day. For a Santa visit, use the Santa's grottos guide. For more markets, see Cornwall's best Christmas markets. The Redruth town page has more.
Eden Project's ice rink is listed from 17 October 2026 to 21 February 2027, and sits inside a bigger day out. Heligan's roller rink starts on 13 November. Pool's Winter Wonderland is closer to a fairground-style evening out, with rides and a bar, and it sits in west Cornwall, which saves a long drive from Camborne, Redruth, Hayle and Falmouth. Which suits you depends on whether you want a full day in a garden or biome setting or a short evening skate with food stalls.
Plan your timing around the one-hour sessions: arrive 20 minutes before your slot to collect skates, and expect to be on the ice for most of the hour. Wet days are less of a problem because the rink is undercover, but the funfair rides may close in high winds.
The ticket listing says only "parking nearby" and tells drivers to use the postcode TR15 3QJ and follow local signs to Pool Market. It does not name a car park, give a price or say how many spaces there are, so we cannot promise you a space on a busy weekend. Arrive well before your one-hour rink slot, and check the organiser's booking confirmation for any parking note.
If you want a meal before or after skating, the nearest place we checked is Red River Cafe at Heartlands, Dudnance Lane, with 4.2 from 398 Google reviews. Reviewers like the setting in the old carpenters' workshop, the kids' menu and the Sunday dinner offer, and one says it is dog friendly. Google did not show opening hours when we checked, so confirm them, particularly on weekday evenings.
Heartlands also has free gardens and play areas, according to reviewers, which can fill a daytime slot before an evening session. We have not confirmed these are open in winter. The Redruth parking guide covers the town centre, not Pool, but is useful if you plan to combine a trip with Redruth's lights on Saturday 5 December.
The listing does not say. It mentions an undercover rink, public toilets and on-site event staff, but nothing on step-free access, accessible toilets, wheelchair or pushchair rules, or dogs. We would rather say that plainly than guess.
These last two points are general guidance, not rules from this organiser. Our Redruth rainy day guide has other indoor ideas nearby.
