Short answer: Assistance dogs only, as with every wildlife park — the animals here are rescues, many already stressed, and a pet dog's presence would add to that. Golitha Falls is fifteen minutes away and excellent.
Porfell is a rescue and rehoming sanctuary rather than a conventional zoo, which makes the reasoning behind its dog policy slightly different from most.
Many of the animals here arrived because of difficult circumstances elsewhere. Adding the scent and sound of an unfamiliar dog to that environment isn't fair on them, quite apart from the standard biosecurity reasons.
A couple of hours, on a smaller and calmer site than the big wildlife parks — narrow lanes to get there, but reviewers consistently describe it as a genuine gem.

Split the group and meet at the London Inn at St Neot afterwards, which is genuinely dog-friendly and does huge portions.
Porfell is down genuinely narrow lanes with passing places. Fine in a normal car, slower than the satnav suggests, and worth allowing an extra ten minutes rather than arriving flustered.
