Short answer: Town parking is straightforward and rarely a problem. The moorland car parks at Minions and Golitha Falls are free but small — arrive before 10am in peak season or you'll be circling.
Liskeard is a working market town rather than a resort, which makes parking noticeably easier than anywhere on the coast.

Free, with two areas and decent capacity — but it's the access point for the two most popular free attractions on this part of the moor, and it fills on a sunny weekend. Before 10am is the safe bet.

Liskeard is on the main line, and the branch line to Looe leaves from here — which makes it a genuinely good base if you'd rather not drive to the coast at all.
There are two parking areas at Minions rather than one, and the second is easy to miss if the first looks full. Worth driving on a little before giving up — plenty of people turn round unnecessarily.
