Short answer: Hall for Cornwall's 2026 panto is Dick Whittington & His Mousehole Cat, from Friday 4 December 2026 (7pm preview) to Sunday 3 January 2027. Tickets start at £15 for 4–13 December and £18 from 19 December; top seats are £33–£48. It runs about two hours, and Edward Rowe plays the Dame.
The Hall for Cornwall panto is the biggest night out of a Cornish December, and this year's has the most Cornish title yet: Dick Whittington & His Mousehole Cat. Edward Rowe (Kernow King) returns as the Dame, Wednesday Whittington.
The cheap seats go first, and the week before Christmas fills earliest. If price matters more than the date, book the first fortnight of the run.
The chilled and relaxed shows are the ones for very young children, autistic children, or anyone who'd rather not sit perfectly still for two hours.
Most pantos work from about three, and two hours with an interval is manageable for most preschoolers. If yours hasn't been to a theatre before, the relaxed or chilled performance is the gentlest start. For something smaller and cheaper, see the community pantos in our guide to every panto in Cornwall.
Hall for Cornwall is in the middle of Truro on Back Quay. For evening shows the city's multi-storeys are the easy option; see our Truro parking guide. Truro station is a ten-minute walk, which makes the train worth considering for a matinee.
Combine a matinee with Truro's Christmas market and late shopping (Truro at Christmas), or see everything else on in Cornwall in December 2026.
