Pantomimes in Cornwall 2026: Every Panto, Dates and Prices

Short answer: The big one is Hall for Cornwall's Dick Whittington & His Mousehole Cat in Truro, 4 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, tickets from £15. The community pantos in Newquay, Wadebridge, Falmouth, St Austell and Redruth are cheaper and usually announce their 2026 shows in the autumn; last season's dates are below as a guide.

Cornwall has one professional pantomime and a handful of brilliant community ones. The professional show sells out the best seats in November; the community ones are a fraction of the price, run for a few nights only, and are often the more fun night out. Here's every one we know about, with what's confirmed for 2026 and what ran last season.

When is the Hall for Cornwall panto 2026?

Dick Whittington & His Mousehole Cat runs at Hall for Cornwall, Truro from Friday 4 December 2026 (preview, 7pm) to Sunday 3 January 2027. It runs about two hours with an interval. Edward Rowe is back as the Dame, Wednesday Whittington.

• Tickets: from £15 for performances 4–13 December, from £18 from 19 December; the best seats are £33–£48.
• Accessible performances: Chilled (6 December, 11am), BSL-interpreted (12 December, 2pm), Captioned (13 December, 11am), Relaxed (13 December, 4pm) and Audio-described (21 December, 2pm).

Community pantos in Cornwall

These are run by local amateur societies and theatres. None has published its 2026–27 show yet; these are last season's, so you know what to look out for and roughly when.

• The Lane Theatre, Newquay — last season: Robin Hood, 4–6 December 2025, tickets £9.50. Early December is their usual slot.
• Wadebridge Town Hall — last season: Dick Whittington, 3–6 December 2025.
• Princess Pavilion, Falmouth — last season: Peter Pan, January 2026. Falmouth's panto runs after Christmas, which suits families who've done December.
• Keay Theatre, St Austell — last season: Sleeping Beauty by St Blazey AOS, 17–24 January 2026.
• Regal Theatre, Redruth — last season: Cinderella by RAMPS, 14–18 January 2026.

Which panto is best for small children?

For a first panto, a community show is hard to beat: shorter, cheaper, nearer, and a less overwhelming room. If you do go to Hall for Cornwall with under-5s, the Chilled (6 December) and Relaxed (13 December) performances keep the house lights partly up and let children move about and make noise.

What's the cheapest way to see the Hall for Cornwall panto?

Go early in the run. Performances from 4 to 13 December start from £15; from 19 December they start from £18 and the Christmas-week shows fill fastest.
