A 60ft waterfall that drops through a hole in the rock (the "kieve") into a pool in a wooded gorge, with a long history as a spiritual place. Visitors leave ribbons and messages for loved ones.
The woodland walk to the entrance is free.
Trethevy car park (PL34 0BE) on the main road between Boscastle and Tintagel: £3 for the day, cash or card. It's small; arrive early. From there it's about a mile's walk, around 20 minutes, through the valley.
Older children love it. It's not for pushchairs or anyone with limited mobility: the paths are muddy and steep in places, with steps down into the gorge and a stream to cross. Dogs are welcome, and there's a café, the Tree of Life, open all year.
