Roskilly's is an organic dairy farm near St Keverne, twenty-odd minutes from Helston onto the Lizard, and its ice cream is the peninsula's pride. The farm itself is the day out: walks around the ponds and fields, the cows that made your ice cream, and a café for something savoury first. It's the rare ice cream stop that's also a proper destination.
The café above Kynance Cove serves Roskilly's flavours, which means you can eat Lizard ice cream looking at one of the most photographed coves in Britain — turquoise water, serpentine rock stacks, white sand. Honest note: it's a walk down from the National Trust car park and a steeper walk back, and the cove's café trades seasonally.
