Best Restaurants in Porthleven: Where to Eat

2026-10-15·Porthleven

Short answer: For a special meal in Porthleven, book Kota (Jude Kereama's seafood with Asian flavours; open late in the week). For harbour views and a relaxed meal, Kota Kai. The Square, in the Michelin Guide, is the bistro for lunch and Sunday lunch. Amélie does Mediterranean-style seafood, Talay is the Thai, and the Corner Deli does wood-fired pizza to take away.

Kota

Chef Jude Kereama's restaurant, 20 years old in 2026: local seafood with Asian flavours and tasting menus. It's now reached through Kota Kai, its sister restaurant. Open late in the week; book.

Kota Kai

The casual, family-friendly one on the harbour, with big windows over the boats: pan-Asian small plates, wasabi fish and chips and Sunday roasts.

The Square at Porthleven

A small bistro at 7 Fore Street, listed in the Michelin Guide: coffee and cake by day, Cornish produce and local fish later, and a Sunday lunch people rave about. Deli and ice cream next door.

Amélie

Mediterranean-style seafood on the harbourfront, with sharing plates, fish chowder and a good-value set menu. Busy at peak times, so reserve.

Talay Thai Kitchen

A smart Thai restaurant with harbour views, mixing small plates and mains with cocktails.
