Short answer: St Agnes is one of the best dog bases on the north coast: Trevaunance Cove allows dogs all year, the Wheal Coates walk is dog-friendly, and the Peterville Inn, Taphouse, Schooners and the Greenroom welcome dogs. The catches: Chapel Porth bans dogs 1 July–31 August (10am–6pm) and Porthtowan 15 May–30 September (10am–6pm).
Between a dog-friendly cove, National Trust clifftops and a run of welcoming pubs, St Agnes is easy with a dog.
Watch for capped mine shafts and unfenced cliff edges; keep dogs close on the clifftops.
At Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, reviewers say dogs are allowed in most areas but not on the tour.
