Your Guide to St Agnes, Cornwall

St Agnes is a former mining village on the north coast, about five miles north of Redruth, and the engine houses on its cliffs are some of the most photographed in Cornwall. The village sits up top around Churchtown and Vicarage Road, with a famous bakery, good cafés and pubs; Trevaunance Cove, its own beach, is a mile down a steep valley road. Along the coast are Chapel Porth, Wheal Coates and St Agnes Beacon, all National Trust, with Poldark-country walks between them. The council car park above the cove is free from November to March and still takes cash.
