Short answer: The best car park in St Agnes is Reppers Coombe (Cornwall Council, TR5 0RS) above Trevaunance Cove: £1 for an hour up to £4.20 for 24 hours from April to October, free from 1 November to 31 March, and one of the council car parks that still takes cash. In the village, use Trelawney Road. Chapel Porth is National Trust: free for members, small, and full early in summer.
Parking in St Agnes is easy in winter and tight in summer, because the beaches sit at the bottom of narrow valleys. Here's where to go.
The Cornwall Council car park on Quay Road, TR5 0RS, with 70 spaces, a short walk up from the beach. The entrance is very steep.
There are also two small private car parks right by the beach; check their machines for prices.
St Agnes Parish Council's long-stay car park, TR5 0TP, with 67 spaces, open 24 hours with disabled bays. Handy for Churchtown, the bakery and the St Agnes Hotel, and the start of the Beacon walk.
For Wheal Coates, there's a separate car park at the top (TR5 0NT). Chapel Porth and Wheal Coates.
The council car park behind Porthtowan beach, 137 spaces. April to October it's £2.50 for an hour up to £11.50 for 24 hours; free November to March. It also still takes cash.
Both council car parks, Reppers Coombe and Porthtowan, are free from 1 November to 31 March, which makes St Agnes one of the cheapest places on the north coast for a winter walk.
