Short answer: The cheapest parking in Mousehole is North Quay, the harbour authority car park on the breakwater: 51 spaces at £1 an hour or £5 a day, but it's tight for big cars. The Parade car park by the Old Coastguard is private (from about £2.30 an hour, £10.50 for 24 hours) and reviewers report fines, so keep your ticket. Or park on the road into the village, or come by bus 6 from Penzance.
Mousehole was built for boats, not cars. There are only a few places to park, and none of them is run by Cornwall Council.
Also harbour authority, but summer only, because boats are stored on it in winter. It's been £5 a day; a recent reviewer mentioned a higher 24-hour rate paid by app or card, so check the board.
Visit Cornwall says you can park free on the road leading into the village, and some people park roadside in Paul, at the top of the hill, which means a steep walk back up. Duck Street car park is for permit holders only.
The Cornwall Council cashless switch from 1 August 2026 doesn't apply here, because these car parks are harbour authority or private. We haven't confirmed what each machine takes this year, so carry both coins and a card.
Don't try. The village fills by late afternoon every evening in December. Park in Penzance and take the bus 6 (every 30 minutes until about 6:30pm, then hourly until about 10:30pm) or walk the seafront. Mousehole lights 2026.
If you're walking to Lamorna, its small car park is paid and recent reviewers say the machine is coins only. Mousehole to Lamorna walk.
