Short answer: The Mistletoe Market at Penventon Park Hotel, Redruth, runs from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026. Saturday is 10am to 6pm and Sunday is 10am to 4pm, billed as Family Day with the Screech Owl Sanctuary and the hotel's first Santa's Grotto. Friday is 12pm to 8.30pm, and the hotel promotes free entry to the market. Call 01209 203000 to check what the grotto and workshops cost.
The Mistletoe Market at Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth is a three-day Christmas makers' market over the weekend of 20 to 22 November 2026. It has stalls from Cornish makers and small businesses, mulled wine on arrival, and a family day on the Sunday with owls and a Santa's grotto.
The hotel's event page gives these days:
One of the hotel's own pages lists the market as 21 to 22 November only, so the Friday opening may be an evening event on top of the weekend. Ring 01209 203000 or email enquiries@penventon.com if you want to be sure.
It is a makers' market, so expect gifts, ceramics, candles and small food producers rather than craft-fair clutter. We have not seen the stallholder list, so we can't say who is attending.
The event page does not say whether entry is free or ticketed, and it does not give prices for the grotto. Ask the hotel before you travel, especially if you are bringing children for Santa on the Sunday.
The hotel is at West End, Redruth TR15 1TE, on the edge of town. It has 4.4 from 1,504 Google reviews. It also has a restaurant and bar, so you can make a meal of it. We have not confirmed parking arrangements for the market weekend. Hotel car parks fill quickly at busy events, so arrive early on Saturday, or on Sunday morning if you want the owls.
The event description mentions accessories for you and your dog, which suggests dogs are expected, but the page does not state a dog policy for the market. Phone ahead if you plan to bring one inside.
Redruth's own Christmas switch-on is later, on Saturday 5 December. We have the details in our Redruth in Lights guide. If you are coming on Saturday, the Buttermarket food stalls guide is a good lunch stop, and the Redruth parking guide covers the town car parks. Our Redruth pasty guide will sort lunch.
If you want more markets, see our guide to Cornwall's best Christmas markets and the Healeys Christmas markets guide. For something for the kids, the Santa's grottos guide lists the others. Kids who want to skate can find rinks in our ice skating guide. The Redruth town page has more.
Go on Saturday if you want the widest choice of stalls and the longest opening hours, 10am to 6pm. Go on Sunday if you are bringing children, because that is Family Day, with the owls from 10am to 3pm and the grotto. Sunday closes at 4pm, so aim to be there by midday. If you only want to browse with a mulled wine, the Friday evening opening is likely to be quieter, although the hours need checking first.
Bring a bag for purchases and a card as well as some cash, since small makers' stalls do not always take cards. The hotel also has a restaurant and a spa, so some visitors combine the market with lunch. Book a table ahead for a Saturday, as the dining room will be busy.
The hotel's own Mistletoe Market event page promotes free entry to the market. It also gives Friday 20 November as 12pm to 8.30pm, which settles the lunchtime-or-morning question. Saturday is 10am to 6pm and Sunday is 10am to 4pm.
What the page does not say is whether Santa's Grotto, the wreath-making classes or the owl sessions carry a charge. Free entry to the market is not the same as free activities, so take a few pounds per child and ask the hotel before you go. The hotel's separate Christmas markets page lists more than 30 stalls of local crafts and mentions wreath-making classes, but gives no booking details.
Phone 01209 203000 if you need to confirm costs for the grotto or classes.
Visit Cornwall's listing for Penventon Park Hotel says there is plenty of free parking on site, with disabled parking and EV charging. The hotel has not published a separate parking plan for the market weekend, so the main car park may fill on Saturday and for the Sunday owls. Arrive early, or by mid-morning at the latest if you want a space close to the door.
Visit Cornwall also says Redruth mainline station is about a five-minute walk from the front door. That makes the train a sensible choice if you plan to try the mulled wine and cider. If you would rather leave the car in town, our Redruth parking guide covers the town car parks and the one that takes cash.
The hotel is on West End, Redruth TR15 1TE, less than a mile from the A30, so it is quick to reach by road from Truro, Camborne or Falmouth. Our Redruth town page has more on getting around.
Dogs. Penventon is listed by Visit Cornwall as a dog-friendly hotel, with a Pooch Plates menu and dedicated dog dining areas, and some market stalls sell dog accessories. Even so, the event page does not state a dog policy for the market itself. Call the hotel before bringing a dog into a busy indoor stall area. Guide dogs are listed as permitted.
Pushchairs. Sunday is the day most likely to be crowded with young families, because of the owls and the grotto. A compact pushchair or a sling is easier than a large buggy in a hotel with stalls. The hotel has not published a stall layout.
Wheelchairs and mobility. Visit Cornwall lists disabled parking but does not describe step-free routes, lifts or accessible toilets, and the event page says nothing about access. We could not confirm any of this, so phone 01209 203000 or email enquiries@penventon.com before you travel. If you need the quietest conditions, Friday afternoon is the best bet, though that is our judgement, not the hotel's guidance.
