Short answer: Park at Crumplehorn, the big private car park at the top of Polperro (PL13 2PL). It takes coins only — no cards, no app — with a minimum of £7 for 3 hours all year; a change machine takes notes. You can't drive into the village, so walk half a mile down or take the tuk-tuk (April to October).
Parking in Polperro is simple, as long as you bring coins. There's one big car park, it's at the top of the village, and nearly everyone uses it.
Crumplehorn car park, PL13 2PL, on the road in from Looe. It's privately owned pay-and-display with roughly 550–600 spaces, so it rarely fills outside August.
Reviewers repeatedly warn that there's no card or app option, so this is the thing that catches people out. Bring a handful of pound coins.
No, the £7 minimum applies all year. In 2025–26 some local businesses offered 10% off up to the value of a day ticket through an off-season parking scheme; we haven't seen whether it's running for 2026–27.
No. The road into the village is for authorised vehicles only. If you're staying in the village with luggage, ask your host about drop-off; there's also a quad-bike luggage transfer service.
From April to October, electric tuk-tuks run from the car park down into the village, carrying up to six people with pets welcome. You can't pre-book. The fare was £1.50 a head in January 2025; we haven't seen a 2026 fare. Out of season, it's the half-mile walk.
There's a separate, higher charge for motorhomes at Crumplehorn; check the board when you arrive.
