Short answer: There's no station in Polperro. Take the train to Looe (via Liskeard on the main line), then the 73 bus from opposite Looe station to the top of Polperro, about 12–25 minutes depending on the stop. The 73 also runs from Liskeard (about 40 minutes), the 10 comes from Plymouth, and the 481/482 links Polruan, Polperro and Looe.
Polperro is car-free anyway, so arriving by bus makes a lot of sense: no coins for the car park, and you can walk the coast path one way.
No. The nearest is Looe, about 4.5 miles away, at the end of the Looe Valley branch line from Liskeard, which is on the main line to Plymouth and London.
On the timetable running 7 September to 12 December 2026, there are about 13 trains a day Monday to Saturday, taking about 30 minutes. On Sundays there are around eight until 8 November, then no Sunday service. More on the line: the Liskeard to Looe branch line.
All run by Go Cornwall Bus:
Check Sunday and winter times on the Transport for Cornwall website before travelling.
In Looe, the Polperro bus leaves from opposite the railway station by the Globe Inn. In Polperro, the stop is at the top of the village near the Crumplehorn, about half a mile above the harbour.
The best day out: train to Looe, walk the coast path to Polperro, bus back. Looe to Polperro walk.
