Rock Oyster is a four-day food and music festival on the banks of the Camel Estuary near Rock. The 2027 dates are listed, but tickets, line-up and chefs have not been announced, so this is a planning page for the questions people ask first.
Rock Oyster 2027 is listed for Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August 2027, on both Skiddle and ents24. The ents24 page says the festival "will be back in July 2027 for another weekend of fantastic live music". We have not seen an official announcement, so confirm on the festival website before booking travel.
The festival is at Dinham House, in St Minver near Wadebridge, postcode PL27 6RH, on the Camel Estuary about five minutes from Rock. It is a private estate, not a public venue, so you need a ticket to get in.
Efestivals describes the 2026 edition as a mix of food, music and an adventure and wellbeing programme, with a daily capacity of 10,000. The 2026 line-up combined headline acts (Groove Armada, Scissor Sisters and Kool and the Gang) with a large chef line-up that included Marco Pierre White, Nathan Outlaw, Matt Tebbutt and Phil Vickery. Those are 2026 names, so do not expect the same list in 2027. A north Cornwall guide describes it as easy for families to enjoy together, with space to roam and a relaxed pace, with under-18s allowed when they come with a parent or guardian.
Tickets are sold in tiers. In 2026 the final tier was £179 for the weekend plus fees, according to efestivals. We have not seen 2027 prices. The ents24 listing shows Rock Oyster 2027 main show tickets, Coral Club, shuttle buses, masterclasses and accommodation as ticket types, with accommodation from £100 including booking fee. Check the official site for the live price list.
Yes. The festival's own FAQ says campsites are available and need a camping ticket, with the rules set out below. Check the 2027 ticket page for tiers. Many visitors also book accommodation in Wadebridge, Rock, Padstow or Polzeath, and those fill early in late July.
Under-18s are allowed with a parent or guardian, and every child needs a ticket. The full rules are in the children and dogs section below.
The festival runs official shuttle buses on three routes, and outward and return journeys must be booked together: Rock and Polzeath, Wadebridge Bus Station, and Newquay and Padstow. The full route list is in the shuttle bus section below. By train, the nearest main station is Bodmin Parkway, then a bus to Wadebridge. See also our Wadebridge page.
The Rock to Padstow ferry between Padstow and Rock is rated 4.6 from 321 Google reviews. It takes under 10 minutes, and the festival is a few minutes from Rock, so check running times for the dates you need. The Camel Trail from Wadebridge is a flat, scenic route if you want to cycle part of the way. See also our dog-friendly Wadebridge guide.
Padstow and Rock are busy in late July. Our Padstow page, Padstow without a car guide and best beaches near Padstow help you plan, and Padstow parking in peak summer is useful for non-festival days.
The festival's own FAQs answer both questions.
Children. Under-18s are allowed, but only with a parent or guardian. Everyone needs a ticket, including children and babies. Each adult ticket covers up to four minors, who remain the adult's responsibility, and child and teen tickets can only be added to a basket with a paying adult ticket. The terms add that under-18s cannot buy or drink alcohol, and that anyone who looks 25 or younger may be asked for ID.
Dogs. Pets are not allowed. The FAQ says "Unfortunately not." Registered assistance dogs are welcome, but you must tell the organisers in advance through the accessibility forms. The bag policy also bars animals other than assistance dogs, so plan dog care before you buy.
One caution: the FAQ page mixes year labels, with some operational answers still mentioning 2025 or 2026. The 2027 dates (29 July to 1 August) appear on the dates answer and the shuttle page, so confirm the age and dog rules again when tickets go on sale.
The official shuttle bus page for 2027 lists three routes. Outward and return journeys must be booked together.
Tickets are valid only on the selected shuttle, and are non-refundable and non-transferable. The page advises being at the stop 15 minutes early because buses may run early or late with traffic. Prices and times sit in timetable images and the booking page, so we cannot quote them.
Check the booking page for prices and times before you rely on a particular route.
The festival's accessibility page is clear about what it does and does not offer. It also carries a 2026 label, so check the 2027 version.
Limits: the ground is steep and uneven, there are no dedicated viewing platforms, no captions or BSL, and the site is not strobe-free. Email accessibility@rockoysterfestival.co.uk, and allow 5 to 7 days for a reply.
Campsites need a camping ticket. They open Thursday at 12pm and close Monday at 11am.
Food may go into campsites but not the arena, apart from baby food. Parking passes are separate from tickets. Because pages still carry earlier-year labels, check the rules again when 2027 tickets are released.
