Where to Get Breakfast in Hayle

Short answer: The Big Green Shed does slow-cooked and smoked breakfasts in a farm setting; The Farm Shop and Restaurant serves its own sausages and bacon, 8am to 8pm every day; Birdies Bistro on the estuary is the walk-to breakfast.

• The Big Green Shed — a farm-setting breakfast spot doing slow-cooked and smoked dishes far above typical café fare. Dog-friendly and family-friendly; the one to make a detour for.
• The Farm Shop and Restaurant — their own outdoor-reared pork, with sausages and bacon made on site, and open 8am to 8pm every day of the week. That reliability is rarer in Cornwall than it should be.
• Birdies Bistro — a well-loved bistro on the Hayle estuary with excellent breakfasts and dogs welcome throughout. You can reach it on a scenic coastal walk from Carbis Bay, which makes breakfast an outing.

Make a morning of it

The Birdies walk-in is the best version: walk along the estuary for breakfast, then carry on along the coast path towards St Ives. With a dog, follow breakfast with the off-lead beach. On a wet morning, the farm options turn straight into a wet-day plan.
