Short answer: Use the Folly Field long-stay car park (TR17 0EG) — big, five minutes from the beach and causeway, pay on exit by number plate. In July and August aim to arrive before 10am; after that you're circling.
Marazion is small, the roads are narrow, and on a summer day with the tide out it has to absorb everyone who wants to walk to the Mount. Parking is the part of the day most likely to go wrong, so here's the map.
Folleyfield Long Stay Car Park is the St Michael's Mount long-stay car park on the western edge of town, postcode TR17 0EG. It's large, unsurfaced and camera-operated: you enter your registration at the machine and pay on exit, by card or the app. Reckon on roughly £7 for five hours. There are toilets beside it and it's a five-minute walk across the beach to Chapel Rock and the start of the causeway. This is the one to use for a Mount visit.
There's a smaller car park by the slipway next to The Godolphin, Marazion which is closer to the Square and the pubs, but it's limited stay and it fills first. Fine for an evening meal or a quick beach hour; don't plan a whole day around it.
The station car park at Long Rock, next to Jordan's Cafe, is cheap, rarely full and on the beach — it's just a 20-minute walk along the sand or the coast path to the causeway. On a busy day it's a better bet than queuing into town, and there's a good café and toilets while you're at it.
The pay-on-exit machine at the long stay can be slow when a queue forms and there's poor phone signal for the app — download it and set up payment before you arrive. Campervans over a certain length aren't allowed in; there's a private car park further along for those. Blue Badge holders should note the operator applies the rules strictly.
