Short answer: For a special dinner in Polperro, book Couch's Great House (fine dining, Tuesday to Saturday evenings, closed in winter, no under-7s). OXOX is a small family-run evening restaurant doing local fish, Priscilla's does seafood and Sunday roasts, Turntable does Neapolitan pizza (no bookings), and Kitty's on the quay does lobster and crab by day.
Polperro has more good places to eat than a village this size has any right to. Most are small, so book where you can.
Fine dining in a historic house by Saxon Bridge (4.9 on Google). Tuesday to Saturday from 6:30pm, booking essential, no children under 7, no dogs except assistance dogs. It closes for winter; last season it reopened on 27 February.
A tiny family-run evening restaurant a few metres from the harbour, in the Noughts and Crosses building (5.0 on Google). Wednesday to Saturday, 6:30–9:30pm. Reviewers praise the fresh local fish and the service. Book; a 2025 guide says it isn't suited to young children. Dogs accepted (say when booking).

Neapolitan-style pizza on Big Green, to eat in or take away, Tuesday to Saturday 5–9:30pm. No bookings; gluten-free bases available. Reviewers call it the best pizza they've had. Dog friendly.
A quayside counter selling local lobster, crab, oysters and seafood platters, much of it landed by Polperro boats. 10am–2pm, closed Fridays.
A café-restaurant on Fore Street doing breakfast, lunch and dinner, inside and out. Dogs get treats.
