Short answer: Many Polperro cafés and restaurants are seasonal, but plenty stays open in winter: the Three Pilchards (with Sunday roasts from mid-October), the Ship Inn, the House on the Props (breakfast and lunch daily), Clements & Hope (reduced menu) and Polperro Bakery. The Heritage Museum, Model Village and tuk-tuk close, and Couch's reopens in late February.
Polperro out of season is quiet, windswept and lovely: no queues on the harbour, dogs back on the beach, and a pub fire at the end of the walk. You just need to know what's open.
Same rules all year: Crumplehorn, coins only, minimum £7. Polperro parking.
If you're coming by train to Looe, note that the Looe Valley line has no Sunday trains after 8 November 2026 on the current timetable. Bus and train options.
From 2 October to Easter, dogs are allowed on Polperro's harbour beach. Dog-friendly Polperro.
The lights go on around the start of December: Polperro Christmas lights 2026.
