Short answer: Bodmin Jail does Halloween all October. The Haunted Gallery runs from 1 to 31 October and the family Trick or Treat Trail from 17 to 31 October, both included with entry. For older visitors there's the Go Darker tour (£27, about two hours) and Late Entry (£13), and for adults, Friday ghost hunts (£50) and Saturday overnights (£75).
Bodmin Jail is Cornwall's most atmospheric building in October, and it has something for every age, from a trick-or-treat trail for small children to an overnight ghost hunt for adults who want to be properly frightened.
The trail is the one for under-10s; go on a weekday morning for the quietest visit.
These are adults-only; check the age limits when booking.
