St Ives Remembrance Sunday 2026: Parade and Lelant

2026-11-03·St Ives

Short answer: Remembrance Sunday is 8 November 2026. In 2025 the St Ives parade assembled at the Guildhall at 10.40am, walked to the war memorial for the two-minute silence and wreaths at 11am, then went to the parish church; Lelant held its own service at St Uny Church from 9.25am. We have not seen the 2026 timetable yet.

How to read this page. Where a council had published its 2026 programme when we looked, we say so. Where it had not, we give the 2025 programme and label it as a guide, because Legion branches and councils usually repeat the pattern but do change start times and routes. Confirm with the organiser the week before you travel.

When is Remembrance in St Ives in 2026?

Remembrance Sunday is Sunday 8 November 2026 and Armistice Day is Wednesday 11 November. St Ives Town Council announced its 2025 plans in mid-October, so the 2026 timetable may appear in the next week or two. Until then, the 2025 plan is the best guide.

The 2025 parade in St Ives

Lelant

Lelant, on the way in from St Erth, holds its own Remembrance. In 2025 there was a service at St Uny Church from 9.25am, wreaths were laid at the 1914 to 1918 and 1939 to 1945 memorials inside the church at 10am, and the congregation moved to the village war memorial for wreaths and the silence at 11am. It is a quiet alternative if St Ives will be crowded.

Armistice Day

On Armistice Day (Wednesday 11 November in 2026) representatives of the Royal British Legion and the town council gather at the St Ives War Memorial from 10.50am, with the two-minute silence at 11am. It is a short, simple occasion.

Getting there and parking

St Ives is the hardest town in Cornwall to park in on a busy day, and Sunday parades add to it. The simplest plan is the train to St Ives from St Erth or the park-and-ride: see our St Ives parking and park-and-ride guide and the park-and-ride review. The streets on the route are narrow, with pavements that are easily blocked, so arrive at least 30 minutes early.

After the service

The pubs and cafes near the Guildhall and High Street open for Sunday lunch and fill quickly after the church service. See St Ives Sunday roasts, St Ives pubs and what is open in St Ives in winter. More on the St Ives town page.

Coming up: St Ives Christmas lights and Santa's lifeboat (Wednesday 9 December per the town council).
