Falmouth Remembrance Sunday 2026: Parade and Silence

2026-11-03·Falmouth

Short answer: Remembrance Sunday is 8 November 2026. Falmouth Town Council had not published its 2026 timetable when we looked; in 2025 the parade assembled on The Moor at 10.25am, set off at 10.35am for Kimberley Park, and the two-minute silence and wreath laying were at 11am. The parade returned to The Moor by about 11.35am.

How to read this page. Where a council had published its 2026 programme when we looked, we say so. Where it had not, we give the 2025 programme and label it as a guide, because Legion branches and councils usually repeat the pattern but do change start times and routes. Confirm with the organiser the week before you travel.

When is Remembrance in Falmouth in 2026?

Remembrance Sunday is Sunday 8 November 2026 and Armistice Day is Wednesday 11 November. Falmouth Town Council publishes its Acts of Remembrance each October, but the 2026 page was not among the results we could read on 3 November, so this page uses the 2025 programme as the guide.

The 2025 parade, step by step

The council streamed the service live on its Facebook page from 10.30am with Source FM, which broadcast it on 96.1 FM and online. That is worth knowing if the weather is bad or you cannot get into town. The council also said a decision on cancellation, in case of severe weather, would be made by midday on the Friday before and published on its website and social media. Check there on Friday 6 November.

The other Falmouth acts of remembrance

In 2024 the council held a Laying of the First Poppy at Kimberley Park on the last Saturday of October (meet 10.45am, Last Post at 11am), and the Armistice Day silence on 11 November at the St Nazaire Memorial on Prince of Wales Pier, meeting at 10.50am. Both are small and quiet and open to anyone. Whether the 2026 Armistice Day silence is held at the same place is something to confirm with the council.

Where to stand and what the route is like

The parade runs between The Moor, the town's central square, and Kimberley Park. The Moor is where you see the parade form and return; Kimberley Park is where the service is. If you want to hear the service rather than see the parade, go straight to the park and arrive by 10.30am. Wear waterproofs: the park is exposed and the service is outdoors.

Parking

Falmouth fills on any Sunday with a public event, and the roads along the parade route are closed briefly. Our Falmouth parking guide sets out the car parks and the park-and-ride, and arriving 30 minutes early or coming by train to Falmouth Town station is easier than hunting for a space.

After the service

Many Falmouth pubs and cafes open early on Remembrance Sunday and fill straight after the parade at about 11.35am. See Falmouth Sunday roasts and Falmouth pubs. Booking a late-morning or lunchtime table is sensible. The Falmouth town page has the wider day.
