Week 1: Pirates and the silver ball (1 to 7 February)
- Saturday 6 February: the Cornish Pirates host Rotherham Titans at Mennaye Field, Penzance. Terrace tickets are listed at £20 for adults, with under-16s free on the terrace. Pirates home games.
Week 2: Feast Day and Pancake Day (8 to 14 February)
- Monday 8 February: St Ives Feast Day, the first Monday after 3 February. In past years a procession leaves around 9:30am, the silver ball is hurled from St Ia Church at 10:30am and returned to the Mayor at noon. Roads close in the morning, and the 2027 timetable is not yet published.
- Tuesday 9 February: Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday). Cafes in many Cornish towns run pancake specials; for something different in Newquay, Nibble and Drizzle sells mini pancake trays: see Nibble and Drizzle.
- Sunday 14 February: Valentine's Day. Book dinner early in the harbour towns: our guides to St Ives in winter and Padstow in winter show what is open.
Week 3: Eden half term (13 to 21 February)
- Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 February: Eden's February half-term programme, 10am to 5pm: giant marble runs (£5 returnable deposit), Nature's Playground and the outdoor ice rink, which costs extra and needs valid Eden admission. - Saturday 20 February: the Cornish Pirates host Bedford Blues at Mennaye Field.
