Short answer: Mevagissey's Christmas lights switch-on is listed for Friday 27 November 2026, but organisers haven't confirmed it yet. Last year it was on Saturday 29 November: a lantern parade led by St Austell Brass Band at 4pm, the harbour lights switched on at 6:15pm, and food and drink stalls on the jetty. Car parks fill early, so arrive in daylight.
Mevagissey's harbour lights are among the best-loved in Cornwall: boats, buildings and the harbour walls lit up in the dark water. The switch-on night is a proper village occasion.
